Directors: Liz Smith

In the late 90s Liz Smith joined one of Silicon Valley’s early internet companies, Yahoo!. In 2002 she left that world to study at The London Film School and has been a filmmaker ever since but in 2017 those two worlds came together as she started to investigate the unintended consequences of the web and the impact of smartphones on our mental well-being and freedoms. Liz is interested in what makes human beings tick, and how psychology, philosophy and politics drive contemporary behaviour. Through documentaries, live shows and podcasts she explores these themes with a strong focus on human rights and mental health. You can find out more about her work at www.liz-smith.com.
