SYNOPSIS:
A man flies into Chechnya from Europe. He came in search of a priceless object. His future depends on it. Will he reach his goal without losing something even more valuable?
Director's Bio:
Ruslan Magomadov is a Chechen director born in 1983 in Sverdlovsk, USSR. He lived in Grozny (Chechnya) during the war, from 1991 to 1998. In Ekaterinburg, he studied Academy of Fine Arts.
In Moscow, he studied Higher Courses of Script Writers and Film Directors under the direction of Iraklyi Kvirikadze and Andrey Dobrovolsky. His short films won awards in numerous international film festivals around the world. His films was part of the Rotterdam International Film Festival in the Netherlands and the Krakow Film Festival in Poland. The Story of a Painting is Magomadov's first feature fiction film as a director.
