Ouroboros

SYNOPSIS:
Philosophical essay on 2 significant events in Mexico: the massacre of students in Tlatelolco in 1968 and the forced disappearance of students in Ayotzinapa in 2014. The official voices of each moment are similar and the (sampled) voices of the presidential candidates in 2018, sentence the social condition of Mexico within the Eternal Return; on the image of a daily environment such as the subway that connects both events.

Director's Bio:
Antonio Arango (Mexico 1964) is an audiovisual artist. He has several awards and recognitions in film, video, installation, performance and multimedia. He has had various art support for the production of his pieces from both FONCA, University of México and the National Arts Center (México); and also, The Movement Image Biennial (Argentina). His pieces have been exhibited both in Mexico (Museums and
galleries) and in several festivals and international exhibitions. His industrial work includes broadcast design and production in film and television.
