The Letter (Based on a True Story)
On February 17th, 1945, my great-grandfather Friedrich wrote a letter to the fleeing family one hour before he was executed by the Nazis for his refusal of military service.
This is Friedrich's farewell narrated by his son-in-law Ernst.
The original letter will soon be part of the permanent exhibition at the German Historical Museum, Berlin.
