In February 2025, two months after the fall of the regime, Vincent and Catherine decide to accompany Mohamad and Mariam, their Syrian friends who have taken refuge in Marseille, on their first return to Syria. On the ground, memories of the war return. Discussions begin about how to participate in the reconstruction of the new Syria. Vincent films their first steps in Damascus, where freedom of speech is omnipresent. They visit neighborhoods where the destruction is massive. They are overwhelmed by fear. Powerful and poetic scenes, such as a concert by a women's choir performing revolutionary songs or a vegetable garden emerging amidst the ruins, illuminate their journey.
