“Justice Wanted" is a documentary bringing a new perspective on the Palestinian struggle by drawing parallels between Israel’s apartheid practices in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, the attacks on Gaza since October 7th, and South Africa’s apartheid era.

The film follows South Africa’s pivotal role in initiating legal action against Israel at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), with support from Colombia, Türkiye, and Nicaragua.

Featuring insights from diplomats, legal experts, and UN rapporteurs, it examines the failure of international institutions and Western nations to hold Israel accountable. "Justice Wanted" highlights the rise of global activism and shifting international opinions, emphasizing the crucial role of solidarity in the quest for justice.

It serves as a compelling call to confront military brutality and restore human dignity.

 

Director Biography - Mucahit Emre Sever

Mücahit Emre Sever, born in 1994, is a filmmaker majoring in Middle Eastern Studies. He has been working as a producer at TRT Arabi since 2017 and has extensive experience as a producer and director on several films, including "Afrin: For the Justice" (Producer), "Silwan: Defender of Jerusalem" (Producer), "Andalusian Muslims" (Director), and "Justice Wanted" (Director). In 2017, he was honored with the Best Storytelling Feature Award from the Al Jazeera Media Institute. Mücahit is dedicated to shedding light on critical social issues through his storytelling, focusing on the complex themes of identity, justice, and culture as well as current affairs.
