Synopsis:

Dreams in Gaza are being shattered just like homes, with only a moment separating us from death. One blade threatens everyone, and one hand reaches out to save the family.

Between beauty and flames, art and destruction, the short documentary "in a MOMENT" by Asil Majed AlWadiya portrays Khawla's life during the war and her adaptation to the harsh conditions imposed on her.

Director Biography - Asil Majed Alwadiya

Asil Majed Al-Wadiya is a Palestinian filmmaker whose work captures Gaza’s untold stories with intimacy and depth. Her award-winning documentaries In a Moment and Abu Salma have screened at over twenty international film festivals — from Chicago and London to Amsterdam and Cape Town — earning top honors, including the Spirit of Palestine Award, Best Short Documentary at the ConnectHer Film Festival, and Best Documentary at the Bahrain International Film Festival.

She has directed projects for CARE, UNICEF, and UNFPA, amplifying voices too often unheard. Through a growing body of work that preserves memory, evokes empathy, and centers humanity, Asil is bringing Palestinian stories to the world — with power and purpose
