After fleeing Israeli bombardment in Gaza, Ghassan, his Russian wife Anna, and their daughters begin a new life in Russia. Yet exile does not silence the echoes of war: memories, fractured identities, and the search for belonging haunt them across borders. Gaza Grad is a story of survival that reveals how war continues long after the bombs have stopped.

Director Biography - Sawsan Qaoud

Sawsan Qaoud is a Palestinian filmmaker and producer from Nablus, holding a Master’s degree in TV Production from Moscow and Cardiff Universities. She began her career in television with MBC, before joining academia as a lecturer at Al-Quds University, where she contributed to training and mentoring emerging Palestinian media professionals. In 2013, she founded Mashahid for Art and Film Production, through which she has produced and directed numerous documentaries exploring Palestinian identity, culture, and social issues. Her films have been screened at international festivals, reflecting her commitment to authentic and thoughtful storytelling. Her most recent documentary is Gaza Grad.
