Synopsis:

In Gaza, sound becomes a symbol of hope and pain amid the ongoing war since October 7, 2023. Sound engineer Mohamed leads an auditory journey through four stories, where each character reflects the impact of war. Through their voices, we witness how the sounds of Gaza have transformed before and after the conflict.


Directors: Hussam Abu Dan

A Palestinian director from the Gaza Strip, working in the filmmaking industry since 2010. He has directed numerous short and feature-length documentaries, as well as a series of Palestinian TV shows, and has received multiple local and international awards.




Awad Joumaa is the Head of Originals at Al Jazeera 360. An award-winning News Executive and filmmaker with 20 years of experience, he has built a distinguished career in the industry, crafting compelling stories that resonate globally.

Awad Joumaa is also the Executive Producer and the creator of the idea and concept for the film Gaza Soundman. The idea was inspired during a meeting with Mohamad Yaghi, a gaza based sound engineer, while filming another project in Gaza titled A Fighter's Diary, one month before the stat of the war. Awad set the director's vision, censuring the story was told through the sounds of life and death in Gaza with authenticity and depth, capturing the essence of Gaza's resilience and humanity.
