Survival

Survival - نجاة
10 minutes | Jordan | 2025

Set against the backdrop of a perilous sea escape, Najjat tells the emotionally charged story of a mother and her son Mahmoud as they flee their homeland in search of safety. Aboard an overcrowded inflatable boat, surrounded by strangers, waves, and fear, the child’s innocence and imagination create a striking contrast to the deadly reality.

Through alphabet games, moments of bonding, and the symbol of a cherished seashell, Najjat explores the fragile hope, love, and humanity that persist even in the darkest situations. But as the storm rises, tragedy strikes.
