Mariam Janini – Director

Mariam Janini is a full-time Graphic Designer with a passion for analog and digital photography and, more recently, cinema. With a background in Design and Visual Communication, she directed her first short documentary, Raeda, which explores her mother’s arranged marriage through intimate family interviews. This experience sparked her love for film as a tool for self-expression and social reflection. Mariam aims to tell the stories of people who are often overlooked, focusing on women’s rights, cultural expectations, and societal norms. Through her work, she hopes to help people feel seen, understood, and less alone, while raising awareness about issues that shape her community.
