Synopsis:
Mudar is a Syrian actor, flew to Germany by a visa from Beirut, he researches refugee’s journeys who came walking on their feet, for his theatre play and explores the real experiences that immigrants lived throughout their road. After his meeting with a Syrian filmmaker Ammar Obeid, Mudar wants to stand naked outside in the cold of his back yard

Ammar Obeid (b. 1993, Alswayda, Syria) is an independent artist based in Berlin since 2017. Through short and documentary films, image-making, and experimental music, his work explores themes of migration, integration, trauma, and communication. With a Bachelor’s degree in Japanese Literature from Damascus University, his artistic practice is deeply influenced by Japanese storytelling traditions. Ammar is currently producing I Was Here, a film that narrates the story of a Syrian migrant using Japanese storytelling techniques and the visual style of Ghibli.
