“Karama Atelier” is an offspring of Karama Festival and is ongoing since October 2012. Through this Atelier/hands on workshop, Karama team with young filmmakers and activists work on creating Human Rights films priority to our region and from all genres. To date, “Karama Atelier” produced three documentaries and 2 short animation films and one fiction film; “Ta’a Marboutah” by Ehab Al Khatib with other Ma3mal workers, “Gaza.. Black & White” by Arab Nasser and Tarazan Nasser and with a group of young people, “A Part of Me” by Sawsan Darwaza with a group of female activists, and “Growing” and “Surprise” by Tariq Rimawi, “A Room with Millions of Walls” by Mohannad al Hariri. These films produced by Karama Atelier participated in Karama HRFF in Jordan and in Palestine and in Human Screen Festival in Tunisia and in other film festivals. This existing program is still attracting filmmakers to come and join, either for advice or for coproduction, or in kind contribution.
